Remarkable Retro Gold Vermeil Sterling Bow Brooch with Big Blue Stone
Item #CP138911
Measures 2-1/2 x 2-7/8". This remarkable World War II era brooch is beautifully sculpted, with a thick gold plating. The bow is accented with 4 collet-set pink rhinestones and a huge prong-set simulated blue topaz emerald-cut stone dangles from 2 chains of pink collet-set rhinestones. Marked F.H. in a triangle and STERLING. No wear to gold plating of bow. No missing or dead stones. Some wear to the gold plating of the prongs and setting of the big blue stone. The attachment site of one of the chains of pink rhinestones appears to have been skillfully repaired with solder in the past. This is visible only from the back and with close inspection. The brooch is in its original box from the legendary San Francisco department store, The White House. The cardboard box shows some foxing. Wine-colored soft terry lining is pristine. $135.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
