Carl-Art Gold Fill over Silver Flower Brooch

Measures 1-1/4 x 3-1/2" This lovely large brooch has graceful styling and fine detail. Thick yellow and rose gold plating over silver gives the piece a rich and finished look. Marked 1/20 12K G.F. ON SILVER and with an arrow through the letters CA, the mark for Carl-Art. The flower finding is marked with the design patent number 130141, though this number is obscured by the clasp. This flower finding was patented by Carl Schraysshuen in 1941 and was a favorite motif for Walter Lampl. No wear to thick gold plating.
