Exquisite Walter Lampl 14K Edwardian Onyx & Pearl Brooch

Measures 7/8 x 1-1/4". This outstanding piece is from the earliest period of Walter Lampl's production. The oval of flawless black onyx is set in a 14K yellow gold frame. Centered in this oval is a tiny shamrock with seed pearls at the middle of each leaflet. Marked WL 14K. The very early style of safety clasp holds well and indicates the age of the piece. The styling predates Art Deco, and fits with the known facts. Lampl began his company in 1921. This piece was probably made very soon after that time. (SOLD)
