Carved Bakelite Perfume or Scent Bottle Brooch

Measures 1-5/8 x 3" overall. The delightful scent bottle measures 1-1/8 x 1-1/2". The caramel streaked with pistachio bakelite is beautifully carved. A sturdy brass chain supports the dangling perfume bottle. A second chain attaches the removable lid so it won't be lost. This rare and unusual piece is in great condition. A very similar brooch can be seen on page 52 of the book "Best of Bakelite" by Dee Battle and A. Lesser. No verdigris on gold-tone chain. No damage to bakelite. Safety clasp holds well.
