Huge Walter Lampl Sterling & Carved Lapis Brooch

Measures 2" in diameter, with a 1 x 1-3/8" carved lapis focal point. This is a very interesting Lampl piece, as it combines one of the carved semi-precious gemstones he acquired from China in the late 1920s through 1930s with the lovely flower finding patented in 1941 by Carl Schraysshuen. Marked STERLING WL and Des. 130141 on the flower finding. The cascading leaves beneath the graceful flower is particularly lovely, and the scrolling ribbons add a refined elegance. Old-fashioned style safety clasp holds well. No damage to lapis. Soft patina of vintage silver. $215.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
