Coro Folding Locket Brooch

Locket measures 1-1/4" in diameter. Bow measures 1-1/2" across. Total length of pin is 2-1/4". This lovely antiqued gold-tone photo album locket features a deeply sculpted repousse rose on its front. Locket swings open to reveal 4 frames for photographs. These currently feature wonderful black and white pictures which appear to have been taken in the late 1940s, contemporary to when this brooch was produced. It is marked Coro (in script in a parallelogram) with the Pegasus symbol and PATENT PEND. The patent which was eventually awarded was first applied for in 1947, and granted in 1951, so this brooch dates to between those years. That patent can be seen here. No wear to plating.
