Measures 1-1/2 x 3". This magnificent brooch dates to the 1930s. A beautifully carved and detailed floral design is worked in Chinese cinnabar (red lacquer applied in dozens of very thin layers). The cinnabar is prong-set in an ornate antiqued gold-tone floral setting. Marked WALTER LAMPL. Safety clasp holds well. No damage to gold-tone plating. Four tiny smears of red paint or nail polish on the reverse side of the brooch. These have been left undisturbed. $275.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
