Walter Lampl "Juarez Wings" Aircrewman's Sterling Sweetheart Pin
Item #CD131207
Measures 3/8 x 1-1/2". This beautiful small pin was made during World War II to be worn by the sweetheart of an aircrewman in the U.S. Army Air Force. This style of "wings" pin is believed to have been bought in Juarez, Mexico by flight crews who trained at flight schools in Texas and is thus known to collectors as "Juarez Wings." The United States National Seal in the circle at the pin's center indicates the rank and job responsibility of aircrewman. Marked STERLING and WL in script in a shield. Safety clasp holds well. Lovely patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed. $135.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
