Walter Lampl 14K Plique a Jour Diamond & Citrine Dragonfly

Measures 1-1/8 x 1-1/4". This spectacular dragonfly is crafted of 14K yellow gold, with diamond eyes, diamonds on the abdomen, and a yellow citrine thorax. The wings are delicately enamled in yellow and orange plique a jour, like little stained glass windows. This is a spectacular early piece of fine Lampl jewelry, marked WL 585 14K. The dragonfly's head/proboscis are looped beneath the piece so it can also be used as a pendant. Safety clasp holds well. No damage to gold or stones. Stunning plique a jour enameling is entirely intact. Judging by the style, mark, and craftsmanship, this piece appears to date to the 1920s to early 1930s. $2200.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
