1942 Hobe Sterling Rose Bouquet Brooch

Measures 2 x 4-1/4". This very large sterling brooch is beautifully constructed, with individual stems bearing rose blossoms and leaves gathered together by a sterling bow. Each of the 6 roses and 12 leaves has its own separate stem. Marked Hobe' STERLING DESIGN PAT'D. The design patent which conforms most closely to this brooch is #132330, granted in 1942. Safety clasp holds well. No damage to any of the components. Moderate patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed on this Retro Modern beauty. (SOLD)
