Walter Lampl Enameled Sterling Dragonfly Brooch

Measures 2-1/4 x 3-1/2". This large delightful dragonfly is handpainted with terrific colors. The wings are in shades of turquoise, blue-gray, and cream. The body and legs are in shades of iridescent green. The wild googly eyes are iridescent red with white and black. The back side of the brooch is thickly plated in gold. Marked LAMPL STERLING. This utterly charming brooch shows signs of having been worn and loved. There are some minor chips to the enameling. This merely adds to its vintage beauty. Normal patina to gold plating of back. Safety clasp holds well. This brooch dates to the late 1930s.
