Coro Quivering Camellias Duette - Dress Clips & Brooch
Item #BP13664
Measures 1-1/2 x 2-7/8". This is the famous and widely beloved 1938 Quivering Camellia Duette designed by Gene Verrecchio, featured in many costume jewelry books including American Costume Jewelry: 1935-1950 by Carla and Roberto Brunialti. It can be worn as a brooch, or the 2 dress clips come off the frame back to be worn separately or as a pair. The frame is marked Coro Duette in script and PAT. No. 1798867. Each clip is marked REG. U.S.A. PAT. OFF. D. PAT. 110296. The trembler centers of each flower quiver gently with any movement. The gold plating and dark green enameling show minimal signs of wear, visible only on very close inspection. There are no missing rhinestones. A few of the white rhinestones have dulled a bit with age. This is a real treasure, essential to any important collection of vintage costume jewelry. $325.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
