1930s Enamel & Rhinestone Covered Wagon Pin with Turning Wheels

1930s Enamel & Rhinestone Covered Wagon Pin with Turning Wheels

Item #BM134208

Measures 1-1/4 x 2-1/4". This exquisite pot metal pin can be seen on page 140 of "Collectible Costume Jewelry" by Cherri Simonds. Although Simonds does not identify the maker, an identical pin with all clear rhinestones has been seen with the Little Nemo hang tag. The clear stone version can be seen in Leigh Leshner's "Vintage Jewelry" on page 112. Blue enameling adorns the ribs of the wagon, the hubs of the wheels, and the yokes of the oxen. The horns of the oxen are enameled white. Glittering multicolored rhinestones in blue, green, pink, white, and orange pave the wagon, the wheels, and the oxen. The wheels actually turn, which makes this pin especially charming. Safety clasp holds well. No missing or dead stones. Very minor wear to the enamel of one ox horn. This is a sensational old pin. $134.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
