Stupendous Rhinestone Sunburst Brooch

Measures 3" in diameter and about 3/4" deep. Extraordinarily brilliant white rhinestones are prong-set in silver-tone rhodium. The stones are in marquise, pear, and round shapes, heaped and layered and set at interesting angles to each other. This brooch has incredible presenceand is of the highest quality. It is very large without losing balance and proportion. Since it is not marked, provenance has been difficult to establish. Frank DeLizza believes that it is most probably a DeLizza & Elster (AKA Juliana) piece, though he does not remember this exact design. Bobye Syverson, the leading expert on Eisenberg, would attribute it as a 1970s Eisenberg piece, when that company was not marking its production. Clearly it is a piece any company would be proud to claim and one which any individual would be proud to own. No missing or dead stones, no wear to plating, safety clasp holds well. (SOLD)
