Each brooch measures 2-1/2" in diameter. Shorter length of detachable double chain measures 10" long. This outstanding example of Retro era design was produced by a maker whose work is rarely seen. The two brooches are stylized triskelion designs, with each leg composed of two overlapping "wings." At the center of each is a five-petaled flower. The effect is bold, feminine, organic, yet geometrical. The silver is plated with rhodium for a bright, tarnish-resistant finish. On the back of each brooch is a hook which can be used to attach the curb chain which can be used to connect the two together into a chatelaine. Marked MAURICE STERLING. Safety clasps hold well.
