Walter Lampl Sterling Fouled Anchor Nautical Brooch
Item #BF132211
Measures 1-1/2 x 3". This large, dramatic brooch is ornately decorated with a dolphin and foliar symbols. The rope twisted around the anchor is finely detailed. Marked WL STERLING. The fouled anchor is a traditional nautical symbol dating back to the Sixteenth Century. It is now a symbol of U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officers. This brooch's strong cross-piece and dolphin lend spiritual significance, as well, representing swiftness, diligence, salvation, charity, and love. Although the brooch is large, it is of medium weight. This makes it easy to wear on a variety of garments. Safety clasp holds well. Rich patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed. $165.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
