Walter Lampl Marcasite & Enameled Sterling Swordfish Brooch

Measures 1 x 2-1/4". This charming Art Deco swordfish is paved with marcasites. The champleve enamel fins are a rich cobalt blue. The eye is a tiny red stone, which does not appear to be glass. We are unsure of the type of stone, but believe it to be a ruby or garnet. Marked W.L. STERLING. This appears to be an early Lampl piece, dating to the 1920s or early 1930s. No damage to enamel, no missing stones, safety clasp holds well. Light patina of vintage silver. (SOLD)
