Art Deco Woman with Fruit Basket Brooch

Measures 1-1/2 x 3". This remarkable gold-tone brooch has magnificent presence and remarkable styling. The curvaceous tropical woman is wearing a midriff-baring short-sleeved top and billowing pantaloons. On her head she is supporting a huge tray of rhinestone and molded glass fruit. The rhinestones are light and dark sapphire blue tear shapes and brilliant small white stones. The larger amethyst colored glass stones are molded into melon shapes and have white streaks in the glass to simulate natural flawed amethysts. A single light blue rhinestone rests at the tip of her right toe. Safety clasp holds well. This unmarked brooch is clearly the work of an excellent designer and manufacturer.
