Measures 2-1/4 x 3" and is 1/4" thick (with hollow construction). This wonderful African-theme brooch is marked E&G STERLING MEXICO, with the E&G inside the loop of the S. The piece dates to before 1948. Safety clasp holds well. Minimal patina of old silver.
