Elzac "Bonnet Head" Copper & Lucite Brooch

Measures 2-1/2 x 2-7/8". A molded copper African mask is surrounded by a ruffled border of clear lucite. The mask is screwed securely to the lucite. Safety clasp holds well. No damage to lucite. Beautiful patina of vintage copper. This brooch can be seen on pg. 199 of the book, "A Tribute to America" by Carla and Roberto Brunialti. This brooch was patented by designer Elliot Handler in 1943. This design patent, #135,101, can be seen by clicking here.
