Huge Signed 1940s Obsidian Mask Sterling Brooch

Measures 2-1/4 x 4". Beautifully carved obsidian mask is set in finely wrought 1940s style Mexican sterling. Carved sterling necklace and earring decorative drops add movement and interest to the piece. Marked SILVER MEXICO ESPINOSA. This indicates a very early date on this piece, prior to 1948. Safety clasp holds well. May be missing a bauble or dangle of some sort at the very top of the headdress, as there is a small hole there with nothing through it.
