Sterling Swedish Solje Brooch

Measures 1" diameter, with total length 1-3/4" with dangling diamonds. Interesting Modernist interpretation of the traditional Scandinavian solje brooch. Marked S&Co, L9, Swedish triple crown, and S in a hexagon. We have been unable to identify this maker, but these marks tell us that the brooch is sterling, from Sweden, and was made in 1962. C clasp holds well. Pin stem may be a replacement, judging by the way the hinge is wired. Hinge works smoothly. Lovely patina of vintage silver. (SOLD)
