Measures 1-3/4 x 1-5/8”. This extremely rare example of sweetheart jewelry was worn by a woman who loved a doctor who served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II. Two snakes twine up a winged staff. Tiny white rhinestones accent the tops of the wings. A high quality glass pearl sits atop the staff. Marked MB with the Phrygian cap and STERLING. Safety clasp holds well. No wear to gold plating. No missing or dead rhinestones. The pearl is a replacement, chosen carefully for size and color.
