Hector Aguilar for Coro Sterling Brooch

Measures 1-1/4 x 2-1/4". This brooch was made in Taxco, Mexico by the great Mexican silversmith Hector Aguilar in the early 1940s. Information about the relationship between Coro and Aguilar is described in the reference book Mexican Silver by Morrill and Berk. This brooch is beautifully constructed in two layers.
