Measures 2-1/2 x 2-7/8". Beautifully sculpted and hand-cut sterling silver frames a 15 x 20 mm. dark purple faux amethyst glass stone. The brooch has a window cut to allow the back of the amethyst to be open. Safety clasp holds well. Pin stem is gently contoured to follow the lines of the brooch. Outstanding attention to detail, as is typical of this maker. Marked STERLING BY Lampl (with Lampl in script). Appropriate patina for sterling silver of this era (1940s).
