Measures 2-1/2 x 2-3/4". This beautifully constructed pot-metal brooch is plated in old gold. The petals and stems of the reticulated open-work orchid are lined with a rainbow of rhinestones in many shades of green, blue, topaz, pink, red, purple, and yellow. Safety clasp holds well. This brooch is probably Czech. It dates to the 1930s. Light wear to the old-gold plating adds to the vintage beauty of this piece.
