1950s Aurora Borealis & Blue Rhinestone Spray Brooch

Measures 1-3/4 x 3-7/8". Opalescent aurora borealis rhinestones and powder-blue rhinestones in round, navette, and baguette shapes are all prong-set in gold-tone. The delicate and dazzling branches are all hand-constructed with exquisite detail. Marked BALLET with no copyright symbol and PAT. 2066969. This patent number dates the clasp mechanism to 1937. Since there is no copyright symbol, this piece almost certainly dates to before 1956. The use of aurora borealis stones helps to pinpoint the era as early 1950s. No missing or dead stones.
