1941 Chinese Water Boy Pin

This outstanding pin can be seen on pages 241 & 242 of American Costume Jewelry by Carla and Roberto Brunialti. It measures 3" in diameter. Although unmarked, it is credited to the Rice-Weiner Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. It was designed by Louis C. Mark and patented in 1941. The patent number is not on this piece, but can be seen on our patent number page. It is Design Patent 129,573. Beautiful gold plating, with enameled shirt and shoes. Incised art glass "buckets." Shorts are paved with brilliant rhinestones. Very good condition, with slight wear to highest parts of metal and minor wear to enameling. Safety clasp. (SOLD)
