Persian Handpainted Ivory Brooch

Measures 1-1/8 x 1-7/8". This wonderfully detailed brooch shows a turbaned man standing in an ornate room. The details of his face, costume, and the decorated walls behind him are remarkably fine. The painted ivory is framed by etched gold-tone tubes, each tipped with a green glass cabochon. Safety clasp holds well. No wear to plating or painting. No missing stones. This is an early piece from Persia, dating to the 1920s to 1930s. (SOLD)
