Measures 2-3/8" diameter. Outstanding openwork design with a very dramatic and dynamic eagle motif. Marked STERLING and WL on a shield. In addition to the safety clasp, which holds well, there is a fascinating clasp at the top of the brooch back. This is marked TABBY STERLING PAT. APL FOR. This clasp looks like it accomodated a slide clasp at one time, possibly for conversion to a pendant of some sort. Silver has slight patina, more in lower areas for excellent contrast (SOLD)
