Walter Lampl Enameled Sterling Circus Tent Brooch with Jade & Amethyst Roosters

Measures 1-3/4 x 2-1/4". This beautifully constructed brooch has a gold wash over the sterling tent. The roof of the tent is thickly enameled in cream, red, yellow, orange, and green, with excellent detailing and high quality enamel. Two 15 x 20 mm. carved roosters stand in front of the tent door, wired to a small shelf in front of the door. One is carved of amethyst and the other of jade. They tremble slightly, so look as if they're walking or pecking at the ground. Marked STERLING BY Lampl (with Lampl in script). Safety clasp holds well. No chips or cracks to enameling or carved roosters. Very minor patina of age under the edge of the tent's roof, where it overhangs the gold-washed sterling. This adds beautiful depth and complexity to the piece. This is a truly exceptional piece of craftsmanship and illustrates Lampl's success as "Creators of the Unusual, as Usual." (SOLD)
