Patinated Bronze Cubist Horse Brooch

Measures 1 x 2-1/2". Cast in bronze which has been patinated to a dark gray finish. Although unsigned, this brooch has been attributed to the Cubist sculptor and painter Gustave Miklos (1888-1967). We obtained the brooch from a person who purchased it in Oyonnax, France, where Miklos spent the last 28 years of his life and where he designed and manufactured jewelry. It is of the correct era and style to be Miklos' work. Trombone-style safety clasp holds well. Nice medium weight and size.
