Trifari Semiprecious Gemstone Carved Scarab Bracelet

Measures 3/8" wide and 6-3/4" long. This charming bracelet represents a very unusual departure from the usual offerings by this maker. Seven scarab beetles, each measuring about 10 x 13 mm., are carved from tiger's eye, pink quartz, carnelian, lapis, and chrysoprase and set in a Retro style gold-tone link bracelet. Marked TRIFARI PAT. PEND. Dating to the late 1940s, it appears that this patent was never granted, as bracelets in this style are often seen by other makers, but not by Trifari. The carving of the lovely scarabs is especially fine and features "hieroglyphics" on the back of each stone. Fold-over clasp holds well. Safety chain is missing. (SOLD)
