Extraordinary 1930s Purple Glass Bead Elastic Cuff Bracelets
Item #CT1211183
This is a pair of purple glass bead bracelets strung on elastic. They are designed to fit with the narrower end at the wrist, flaring out over the top of the hand. Because they are on elastic they would fit nearly any wrist. They measure 2-1/4" wide. The smallest beads, in the row at the top of the wrist, measure 4 mm. in diameter. The beads are graduated in size, getting successively larger towards the flare at the top of the hand. The largest beads measure 6.5 mm. in diameter. A single row of gold-tone beads is an accent from top to bottom. Gold-tone spacer bars separate the purple glass beads. The beads are of a style and color frequently used at that time by Miriam Haskell. When we received these bracelets the old elastic was in poor condition, so we had them professionally restrung by the current head designer for Miriam Haskell. This is a truly unique pair of bracelets in beautiful condition. (SOLD)
