Bell Copper Northwest Coast Style Bracelet
Item #CO128610
Measures 1" wide and 5-1/4" long, with a 1-1/2" gap. The original paper label is still inside, reading "This jewelry design was inspired by the unique carvings of the Northwest Coast Indians. The motifs are based on animals and reflect the life of these Indians whose livelihood was fishing and whaling. Made in the U.S.A. by American craftsmen." Marked SOLID COPPER with a bell inside the circle made by these words. This interesting bracelet was made in the American Southwest and represents a departure from the usual themes of Bell Copper jewelry. It is interesting to note that copper was the original precious metal of the Northwest Coast people, and the images on the bracelet do reflect many of their traditional forms. No wear to copper finish. Slight bend at front from previous attempt to shape to a wrist. (SOLD)
