Rare "Starburst" Renoir Matisse Clamper Bracelet & Earrings Set

Bracelet measures 1-1/4" wide at front, 7/8" wide at hinge. Earrings measure 1 x 1-3/8". All pieces are enameled in pebbled white/tan. Copper is bright and shiny, with no signs of wear. No chips to enameling on any pieces. Bracelet hinge and earring clip backs hold tightly. All pieces signed Matisse Renoir (in script) with a copyright symbol. Pieces of this pattern can be seen in "Copper Art Jewelry: A Different Lustre" by Matthew Burkholz on pages 83, 96-97, and 121. He describes this rarely seen design as "explosive with energetic force" and as a "celestial cascade of sparkling pinpoints." (SOLD)
