1940s Gold Fill Expansion Bracelet & Necklace Set with Taille d'Epergne "D"

Bracelet is 1/2" wide when not expanded. Necklace chain measures 18" long. Hearts at front of bracelet and on necklace measure 3/4" diameter. These hearts are inlaid with 3 colors of gold - yellow, green, and rose - and enameled in the taille d'epergne style with a black letter "D" in script. The bracelet is marked TOP SHELL 1/20 10K. No signs of wear or use on either piece. The bracelet holds very tightly. No damage to thick gold plating or enameling. These pieces are in their original Art Deco maroon velvet box. The velvet is in remarkable condition, with no wear or fading. The gold gilt stripes on the box top show some fading and wear. The velvet on the bracelet holder has ripped loose at the base where the tip of the heart rests and shows the cardboard beneath.
